The fundamental support system in critical care, Intensive Care Units (ICU) at Aster Hospital provide efficient, dedicated, high quality evidence-based care to critically ill patients through a collaborative multi-disciplinary approach.

The ICUs, which are equipped with state-of-the-art clinical support and manned by trained Doctors, and Ancillary staff, are capable of handling patients with a wide range of serious medical complications

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit

NICU or the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit refers to the specialized intensive care which provides care for premature newborn infants. At Aster Hospital Mankhool, our Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit is staffed and equipped to be one of the best in the region. A Level III classification implies that our NICU is focused on advanced care, which includes the care of extremely premature, low birth-weighted and critically ill neonates. The most premature babies admitted to our NICU were merely 26 weeks old, weighing 876g and 27 weeks 5 days old, weighing 650g, and both the babies managed to make a healthy recovery.

Aster Hospital Mankhool’s NICU is designed to handle high-risk newborns with multiple problems, through uncompromised attention, a transparent approach and the utmost care. Our highly skilled and experienced specialists in the Paediatrics and Neonatology departments ensure that the best level of diagnosis and treatments are available for every neonate, based on leading NICU protocols and methods.
