3. With the onset of this technological revolution, how difficult has it been for the healthcare industry to cope up? Are patients missing the human touch?
Following our chairman’s vision, the human touch to the patient is not taken way. Rather, we have made it possible for patient’s to fast-track healthcare services using technology, as time is a very critical aspect in today’s world. Moreover, at our hospitals, we ensure that patient comfort is our first priority and we have used technology to help patients make their lives easier and more comfortable.
We ensure that technology doesn’t camouflage our very purpose of existence which is empathetic services to mankind, we rather aim to utilize automations to take away the non -clinical tasks from nurses/doctors/paramedics so their productive hours are spent in personalized patient care instead on doing clerical tasks. The solutions adapted using AI is to make health services more conveniently accessible, fast track processes to avoid delays.
4. What are some of the challenges you’ve faced while adapting to the new technologies?
Change resistance from doctors, nurses is the major challenge we have experienced in several areas, however through the combined strength of the hospital’s admin team, we have been able to cope with this challenge. In addition to this, technological breakdowns at the initial stage of installation was also a challenge faced in implementation.
Being a young hospital we are fortunate to have Y-GEN employees with us, introducing automations and digitalization solutions has not been so challenging for us, however the envisaged technology breakdowns, training the new employees etc. has been a bit tiresome. And of course quality and technology both comes with a price tag, me being a risk averse CEO this challenge is also circumvented and so far the outcomes have been worth celebrating.
5. How does the future of healthcare look like?
Technology is future of healthcare. With advancements and implementation of technology like blockchain, IOT (Internet of Things) and AI (Artificial Intelligence), ML (Machine Learning) is going to play vital role to ensure quality care to the patient.
Technology gives us opportunities for better collaboration, creating a synergy between patient, professionals, providers and machines, it also gives us better insights, predictive analytics to optimize services and eliminate wastes, real time entries contributes towards prompt treatments.
In conclusion I must say that technology plays a vital role in uplifting the entire healthcare ecosystem!
